Alright, I’m back for my bi-monthly blog update only five days late. That’s pretty dang good for someone who took cupcakes to school in March for her daughter’s December birthday.
As promised, I uploaded the first video on my YouTube channel. Getting started is the hardest part, so I’m relieved to have that done and over with. My favorite part was letting my 9-year-old daughter Grace stay up past her bedtime and help me film while her little brothers were asleep. I felt awkward wearing full makeup with my hair curled talking to a camera in front of my front door at 9:30 p.m., but my little blonde-haired sweetie standing behind the camera gave me a confidence boost
Here are a few of her helpful quips:
“If you said that joke a thousand times, I would laugh every time.”
“That was hilarious!”
“You look irritated.”
“Try to sound more confident.”
Helpful feedback, all. I told her I probably looked irritated because I felt nervous, but then she popped out from behind the camera and flashed me a big grin and double thumbs up, and I smiled and felt better.
You can check out the finished video here. I wrote this month’s blog for Western Horseman about real life ranch advice, and you can read it here. I think that’s all for now…I’ll post a new comedy video every Thursday on the YouTube channel, so click subscribe if you’d like to stay in the loop.
Okay, that’s really all for now. Have a great weekend!
